ABA ARIGINAL

Patrixx Matic was a member for bands MATUMBI, MATIC 16, RUFF CUTT, ASWAD, OUT OF DARKNESS, and the UB40 horn section. He has worked with many of the foundation artists in reggae music from the UK to Jamaica, Africa to Hawaii as a trumpeter, a musician/producer, and studio engineer. He is the founding member of MATIC HORNS, having formed the group MATIC 16.

ABA ARIGINAL has been going now for five years with a command in the sound system arena performing his own productions with the major sound systems like CHANNEL ONE, ABA SHANTI, IRRATION, STEPPER SOLOMON, HERITAGE, JAH YOUT, and JAH SHAKA. He also records titles for producers who have their own sound systems and labels, in the USA, Mexico, and Europe.

With this going on, it’s the only place left for the ARIGINALS to present itself, and that is on the stage. Not as a Dub instrumental band, but as a Roots Reggae band performing ABA ARIGINAL hits as well as hits from the band members with vocals.

The live set playlist will be a journey from Ska Rock Steady Reggae to Roots Dubwize, and with the influence of Jazz and Blues that was a major influence in the progression of Reggae music.

With the skill and knowledge of music entertainment, Patrixx has put together a six-part horn section that sings with a four-part riddim section of the very top of the business musicians who know what it takes to fully entertain the fans and lovers of Reggae music. Special guests will be invited to join the show. This is the show that is filling the void left by THE SKATALITES.

With the show comes the engineer that is part of the whole performance as the Dub Master on the mixing desk, a new position in the  Reggae music scene that is always in demand.
